Manatee County’s largest one-day pet adoption and expo-style event is back as Adopt-A-Palooza celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Bradenton Area Convention Center on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Meet your match from more than 100 adoptable pets from Manatee County Animal Welfare, local shelters, and rescue partners. Shop and explore with 40+ pet vendors, and don’t miss the excitement of auctions, raffles, and more throughout the day.
Whether you’re ready to adopt or just want to join the celebration, there’s something for everyone at this milestone event.
Manatee County Animal Welfare adoption fees will be waived in lieu of a donation to Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare.

Jewelry to the Rescue
Join us for Jewelry to the Rescue Sunday, July 12th from 11:30-2:30 pm at Mean Deans Local Kitchen. It is going to be a fun afternoon. Over 300 pounds of pre-loved jewelry with everything from fine gem stones, gold and silver pieces to fun and funky costume pieces. Entry is either $5 or a piece of donated jewelry. Enjoy delicious food and drinks at Mean Deans, a hidden gem in Bradenton with award winning food and an inviting atmosphere.
All proceeds benefit Friends of Manatee County Animal Welfare shelter animals.

ADOPT-A-PALOOZA
MANATEE COUNTY’S LARGEST ONE-DAY ADOPTION AND PET EXPO
The 7th Annual Adopt-A-Palooza will be held on Saturday, May 13th at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Boulevard in Palmetto. Hours are 11 am – 3 pm. Admission and parking are FREE. Adopt-A-Palooza is presented by Manatee County Animal Welfare and Friends of Manatee County Animal Services.
Adopt-A-Palooza is the largest one-day adoption event and pet expo event in Manatee County and will feature over 100 adoptable puppies, dogs, cats and kittens from Manatee County Animal Welfare (MCAW), local shelters and animal rescues - all under one roof.
The family-friendly event will include vendors selling a variety of pet products, pet information tables with special pricing on services such as spay and neuter, chipping, veterinarian services and more. The Adopt-A-Palooza Market Place will feature a variety of raffle and silent auction items.
The proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of Manatee County Animal Services. FoMCAS is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as a fundraising arm whose mission it is to work hand in hand with Manatee County Animal Welfare to enrich the lives of the shelter animals by raising funds to provide additional resources, medical care and heart worm treatment.
MCAW is Manatee County’s only open-admission shelter facility. They currently have 3 locations: Palmetto Adoption Center (pet adoptions), Cat Town Adoption Center (cat adoptions), and Bishop Animal Shelter (lost and found pets). The mission of MCAW is to maintain public health and safety through the enforcement of laws and ordinances related to animals, issue and maintain records for annual pet licensing, to promote responsible pet ownership, promote adoptions, and reduce pet overpopulation.

Best Friends Holiday Celebration
Come celebrate the Holiday Season with local shelter pets! Join Manatee County Animal Welfare (MCAW), Friends of Manatee County Animal Services (FoMCAS), and Best Friends Animal Society at the Best Friends Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 10th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The event will be held at Manatee County Animal Welfare's Palmetto Adoption Center, located at 305 25th St. West, in Palmetto, and will feature local pet-product vendors and animal welfare partners, pet photos with Santa, food trucks and, of course, animals available for adoption and fostering. It will be a fun event for the whole family and a chance to add a furry friend to your family or pick up a holiday gift for your beloved pet.
Come get holly-jolly with some amazing shelter pets. Free to attend and free parking. Pet adoption fees are waived as part of our Home for the Holidays campaign. This event is being held as part of the Best Friends National Adoption Weekend.

Adopt-A-Palooza is returning! The 6th Annual Adopt-A-Palooza will be held, Saturday, May 21 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center from 11-4. Admission and parking are FREE. Join us for the largest one-day adoption and expo-style event in Manatee County. Featuring over 100 adoptable pets from Manatee County Animal Services, local shelters and animal rescues - all under one roof! For pets from MCAS, all adoption fees will be waived in lieu of a donation made to the Friends of Manatee County Animal Services, the co-presenter of the event. In addition to a pet marketplace and expo, Adopt-A-Palooza will host a free pet vaccine and microchip clinic. Pet owners with dogs and cats in need of vaccinations and/or microchips can bring their pet to the event to receive them at no charge. Friends of Manatee County Animal Services is a 501(c)3 non-profit organized in October 2016. Our mission is to provide funding for the shelter animals in Manatee County. This includes life saving heartworm treatment for every dog entering the shelter as well as providing specialized and emergency care for the shelter animals. Shelter life is hard on the animals so we provide enrich items to stimulate their minds and bodies while waiting for their fur-ever home.

To coincide with New Year’s resolutions to lose a little weight and get healthy, we are hosting a virtual Wag and Walk A Thon. This means you can choose to walk in your own neighborhood, at a nearby park, at the shopping mall or even on a treadmill at home.
There is no registration fee, but fundraising is encouraged. We're counting on our supporters now more than ever to ensure we can continue to provide exceptional care to animals at Manatee County Animal Services.
